Three Weeks Is The Lucky Charm

Finally, after 3 weeks of Latina Boot Camp Fitness Training with Jesse Estevez, I’m seeing results!

Some see it sooner some later, like me.  But it’s enough of a difference to put a bounce in my step and encourage me to continue with boot camp.  Not only are my jeans fitting looser, phew, they were getting tight there just a month ago and I was darned if I was going to buy bigger jeans!  I’m stronger, the strength training is fun and wow, I can tell that I’ve toned up and built strength because all the exercises I did at the beginning are so much easier.  But what shocked me the most was when at last night’s boot camp session I was knocking out the sit-ups easily!  I HATE sit ups.And ironically that’s my trouble area LOL. Now, my stomach is getting flatter and I’m whipping out sit-ups like nothing because I’m stronger in my core.

Just three days to the Imagen Awards and I feel fabulous.  I’m gonna rock the red carpet feeling fit, happy and confident.  Thanks Jesse for training Bel Hernandez (Co-host), Lorena Alvarado (Producer) and myself, the Let’s Talk girls!

Getting in shape for the Imagen Awards with Latinas Bodies in Motion Boot Camp workout

Day 1 down, day 2 today. Alright Jesse, I challenge you to actually help me shed a few pounds and tone up in 3 weeks time.  I’ve been going to the gym for years and I’m a natural born athlete,  so can you deliver on the promises of Boot Camp Fitness? Day 1 was a bit of a challenge, but I’m already in decent shape, so it wasn’t that grueling, how will you challenge me today? BRING IT! LOL.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed Jesse Estevez’s bootcamp style of training.  I didn’t get bored, which I often do going to the gym, I had friends to work out with, which I never do at the gym and his drill sergeant training was just right for me…not too mean and not too nice.  Jesse actually pushed me hard but in an encouraging way, I like that!  Tonight he’s giving me my nutrition plan personally customized for me.  I think I just may eat my words; this might actually do the trick at whooping my butt into better shape that it already is.

A Talk Show Like No Other - Premiere May 12th at 7:30 am on KJLA

Los Angeles, CA – Let’s Talk!, produced by Latin Heat Media makes its broadcast premiere on Thursday, May 12th, 2011 on KJLA. The ground breaking daytime talk show scheduled to air weekly Thursday mornings at its 7:30 AM time slot, gives its audience a fresh, new perspective on universal topics that everyone can relate to.

The English-language talk show featuring four dynamic and opinionated Latinas including Emmy-award winning journalist Naibe Reynoso joins the TV team of hosts; actress-comedienne Dyana Ortelli (Curb Your Enthusiasm); Bel Hernandez, Publisher of Latin Heat, a print and online magazine; and actress and Y-Generation/Green Gal Kikey Castillo is sure to get viewers going first thing in the morning as they prepare to take on the world.

Let’s Talk! has what no other network television talk show has, the English speaking Latina perspective in daytime talk. With the U.S. Latina consumer market at more than 23 million strong and a spending power of $479 billion dollars (Hispanic ventures 2010), it is unclear why this very important consumer group continues to be ignored.

Guests will include Let’s Talk! hosts, previous show guests, celebrity friends and sponsors. “We are thrilled to bring our show to the small screen and very excited to celebrate this achievement with everyone that has worked so hard on this project and share this experience with all our friends and supporters,” said Bel Hernandez, Executive Producer of Let’s Talk!.
